Evan DeTurk
I'm an incoming history of science MPhil student at Cambridge and a freelance science writer. I'm interested in the history of biotech, as well as biosecurity and emerging tech policy.
Previously, I spent two years studying genome editing in Jennifer Doudna's lab at UC Berkeley. I earned my A.B. in Molecular Biology from Princeton, where I studied bacteria-virus competition in Bonnie Bassler's lab.
This website is still under construction, so check back soon for updates. In the meantime, you can read my writing on Substack and find recent pieces for other publications here and here.
